Who we are

Buckley's Electrical & Solar (ABN 27 679 202 745) is a family-run electrical and solar business based at U11/41 Holder Way, Malaga WA 6090. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Buckley's Electrical & Solar.

What we collect

• Quote requests: your name, phone number, email address, the service you need, any brand you asked about, and your message.
• How you use the site: the pages you visit, the links and buttons you click (including our phone and email links), the website or app that sent you here, your device, browser and screen size, your IP address, and an approximate location (usually your city) worked out from that IP address.
• Session recordings: a replay of how you move through the site, such as scrolling, mouse movement and clicks. Text you type into form fields is hidden from these recordings.
• Errors: technical details when part of the site fails to load.

Why we collect it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare your quote.
• To understand how people use the site so we can improve it.
• To detect and stop spam, fake enquiries, and abuse directed at our site or our team.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We use a small number of service providers to run the site:

• Web3Forms delivers quote requests to our inbox.
• PostHog provides our website analytics, session recordings and error reports.
• Vercel hosts the website.
• We may share information with police or other authorities when the law requires it, or to report threats, harassment or other unlawful behaviour.

Storage outside Australia

PostHog and Vercel store data on servers in the United States. We choose providers that protect data with security measures such as encryption and access controls.

Cookies

PostHog uses a cookie and your browser's local storage to recognise return visits. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to do the work and meet our record-keeping obligations. Analytics data and session recordings are deleted automatically when PostHog's retention period for our account ends.

Accessing or correcting your information

Email us at admin@buckleyselectrical.com.au to ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. We will reply within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your information, email admin@buckleyselectrical.com.au and we will work with you to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
